Edie and I spotted a strong candidate for a Kissing With Helmets team car on our way back from a ride over the GWB with Spriggs.

Not typically known as a bicycle touring clothing brand, we took Rapha through the paces on our cross country honeymoon. Granted, I’m already informed (and perhaps a bit biased), as a member of the NYC based racing squad (and having worked at the Rapha Cycle Club in NYC). I know how amazing the clothes are [...]
Aside from our standard double gearing, Edie and I got the most noise from others about our wheel and tire choice. So, I think I’ll write about our experience with HED wheels and Continental tires (seeing as how Shimano already gets enough attention). They comprised our rolling needs for the trip. We chose the HED [...]
As it turns out, Edie’s cousin, Helen, also visited Steamboat Springs around the same time we did. She and her beau, Nick, spent some time in Colorado and must have found our popcorn trail. We’re officially naming them Kissing With Helmets correspondents because they not only visited and spoke with the folks at Kent Eriksen [...]
Since we were kicking off our honeymoon at my parents’ house in MA, Brett and I decided to pay a visit to our friends at Independent Fabrication. So glad we did! It was pretty amazing seeing where our bikes came from, how they were put together, and the precision and care that goes into every [...]
Here are the remainder of photos from our shoot with Ian Rutter. Thanks again, Ian! We experienced color difficulties on these, please click HERE and HERE for better colored images.
Our friend and fantastic photographer, Ian Rutter, snapped some shots of us in his studio over the weekend. Being the proud owner of two Independent Fabrications himself, he was familiar with the subject matter. We only have this one “rough” image that he provided us with, so the full set will follow.
Rapha sent us these lovely custom Lightweight Jerseys to celebrate, commemorate and clothe during our journey. They’re as classy as one can get. Special thanks to Simon and Slate for making this happen.
One can only compare opening a box of matching purple and green Chris King headsets to spotting a unicorn. Thanks to the folks at CK for making such a magical moment happen.
We’ve been a bit slack on the updates, but not for lack of things going on. More parts arrived and David Sommerville is currently building our bikes. We’ll tide you over with some HED wheels, Tubus racks and Ortlieb bags.
